11 useful WhatsApp features

WhatsApp may be one of the world’s most popular messaging apps, but it has a load of handy hidden features you may never have come across before.
It’s constantly adding more and more functionality too, so even if you see yourself as a bit of a WhatsApp whizz, you can never be sure you’re fully clued-up.
Naturally, the even app’s lesser-known features are designed to make your life easier, but some are more useful than others.

Here is the list:
  1. Type hands-free

You can get Siri or Google Assistant to type your WhatsApp messages out for you by saying either “Hey Siri” or “Okay Google”, followed by the name of the person you want to message and the actual contents of the message.

  2. Mark chats as unread

When you’ve read a message but can’t reply to it straight away, you can set a visual reminder by marking it as unread. On Android, long-press the conversation, and on iOS, swipe from left to right on a chat.
