A Google transparency report has revealed that the number of requests for disclosing user data from India was at an all-time high. Between January 1 and June 30 this year, Google received 3,843 requests from 6,343 accounts of Indian government agencies, courts and civil litigation parties, which is nearly 400 more requests than those in the same period in 2016.
